It’s time for my monthly review of the best web app I’ve uncovered online this month. As always, I’m super excited to share with you the product that tops the list this time around.

I’d been putting off creating a new brochure for months. I had relaunched my French school earlier this year, this time with a focus on children, so my old brochures were outdated. I had a few clients already, but I needed to do more if this thing was really going to take off.
See, because I’m “good with computers”, all the simple design work at the office gets passed off to me, and doing the brochure for the company’s family weekend retreat was no exception. There was a lot of information to include, so a simple 1-page flyer wouldn’t do. For some reason, I’ve always hated making brochures.
My cousin Jack mentioned an online platform called YUMPU to me a number of months ago but I didn’t get around to checking it out until this week. Not to be rude or anything, but Jack has sent me chasing after the ‘next great thing’ more than once or twice in the past with the result being me left in disappointment.
I’m forever on the lookout for software that makes tedious jobs just a little easier for those of us who’d rather not spend hours on the computer getting things done. This month I want to shine the spotlight on an online brochure maker that is making waves online.
Many of the software companies out there have a lot to learn from YUMPU. The free digital publishing platform recently launched their interactive brochure maker and I’m a massive fan.
A couple months ago I wrote a blog post about how difficult it is to find a free brochure generator that actually works past the point of design flaws and a major headache! I got responses from dozens of people recommending an endless number of online apps they’d found and I tried every single one to no avail.
I’ve tried so many different ways to make brochures – computer programs, online apps – but nothing really worked for me. Either the interface was way too complicated, or it cost way more than I wanted to spend on a software I’d only occasionally use. I had resigned myself to just making sad little PDFs […]
Now, I’ll be the first to admit that there is no short supply of free software online specifically targeting the brochure development market. What there is a shortage of, is software that actually does the things that people need and expect it to do in order to deliver on their promises!
